ABSTRACT
In this chapter, a tutorial of newly developed monarch butterfly optimisation(MBO) method is presented. The method is inspired from the migration behavior of monarch butterflies due to climatic change in the eastern part of North America. In MBO, the position updating of these butterflies are basically depending on two factors, i.e., the migration and moth acclimation operators. The MBO source-codes in MATLAB and C++ are provided for basic understanding of the algorithm. Further, the application of this method is demonstrated by a step-by-step numerical example.
