ABSTRACT

A 5-year-old boy presents to the emergency department with his parents complaining of left eye pain for the past 2 days. He endorsed some preceding viral symptoms, but stated the pain began today after rubbing his left eye. His visual acuity is 20/20 bilaterally, but he does endorse some haziness at the superior aspect of his left visual field. He has no conjunctival injection or pain with extraocular movement. Fluorescein staining is performed and demonstrated in the following.
