ABSTRACT
Application of information technology (IT) in teaching plays an important role in innovating methods and forms of organizing teaching and developing capabilities for learners. This chapter introduces the method of using virtual chemical labs in teaching to apply IT in developing students’ capacity in teaching chemistry in high school. The era of IT and knowledge economy has created great changes in all aspects of human and social activities. The wide application of IT in all fields has shown the great role and miraculous effects of IT in many fields, especially in the education aspect in developed countries. The chapter proposes a number of principles on the use of IT in the process of building virtual experiments in teaching in general and the principles of using chemical teaching software in particular. After giving students the virtual chemical experiments built according principles and procedures, teachers build a system of questions and chemical exercises to design learning cards and assign tasks to students.
