ABSTRACT

Nanotechnology is the branch which deals with extremely small structures. Nanotechnology is derived from the Greek word for “dwarf ” and represents particles of very small size. The major approach is to convert the structure of molecules, individual atoms, or compounds to attain the desired product and devices with unique properties. The particle size should be in the range of 0.1 to 100 nm and the materials possess different properties such as magnetism, optical effects, chemical reactivity, electrical conductance, and physical strength. Nanotechnology is helpful in the formation of several types of nanomaterials and nanodevices and also possesses a wide range of applications.
