ABSTRACT

Nanotechnology arises from the research laboratory and is now used in the design and production of many industrial products and systems. New nanotechnologies will tackle both human fundamental needs and needs for comfort. Food, water, energy, cloth, shelter, health, and the environment are the basic needs of the human being, and automation in all fields, space travel, and increased lifespan, etc., are comfort needs. A significant number of these applications are still in different phases of research, yet some are as of now accessible industrially. Nanotechnology has the potential to bring about significant benefits, such as improved health, better use of natural resources, and reduced environmental pollution. This chapter describes the utility feature of nanotechnology in various domains and fields.
