ABSTRACT

Recent developments in the single-atomic sheet of graphene and its applications have emerged as a dynamic field of research due to the advancement of fabrication and synthesis of materials with possibilities of synthesis in a nanodimensional size. In this chapter, an overview is provided of the two-dimensional properties of graphene and its superior mobility. The band-opening in graphene is also discussed to explore its interesting properties for high-speed-device applications. In addition, a review of graphene’s growth mechanisms and recent developments in its growth technologies are provided for its usage in nanoscience applications.
