ABSTRACT
The goal in any drug delivery system is to maximize therapeutic effectiveness, while minimizing side effects. Magnetic particles are very interesting in this regard because they can be pulled to specific locations to increase local drug delivery and reduce systemic loads. This chapter covers both magnetic and physiological considerations for magnetic drug delivery.
