ABSTRACT
Inmarsat started operations 1981 with only InmarsatA maritime service and for that reason devised an initial synonym: INternational MARitime SATellite (INMARSAT). The SES is electronic equipment consisting in antenna and transceiver with peripheral devices usually installed on board ships or seaplatforms and rigs.
