ABSTRACT
Specifically the experimental program investigated: (1) the large-displacement, bi-directional behavior of SCBFs, (2) the performance of the frame designed according to the proposed balanced design approach, (3) SCBF system behavior with realistic boundary conditions typical of modern construction including the concrete floor system, and (4) numerical models to aid in parametric studies.
