ABSTRACT
The authors have continued in-building seismic observations nationwide since 1956. Seismic observation records obtained are crucial as the data not only to figure out the seismic behavior of buildings but to determine the degree of damages, understand the impact of secondary members on the vibration characteristics of buildings and estimate the vibration characteristics of the in-building equipment and other components.
