ABSTRACT
The major source of concern was that after removing the formwork some uncommon cracks at the soffit near the ends of numerous elements of 18.0 m span were observed (Figure 2), especially in conditions in which with similar elements but with smaller spans (of 12.0 and 15.0 m) the cracks were not present. It has to be mentioned that all these prefabricated units were made of concrete C35/45, cast in metal forms, handled and stored at a specialized precast concrete production factory.
