ABSTRACT
In order to restore the initial seismic performance of the structure, the special mild steel rebars must be replaced with new ones. However, the replacement is not easy due to their bond to the solid grout, and expensive devices should be designed. Next, the paper focuses on the dismounting feature of these rebars, as a fundamental component of a sustainable structural earthquake resistant design.
