A fundamental study on quantitative assessment of steel corrosion by a new NDT method with induction heating

Among many deterioration factors of RC structures, rebar corrosi on is known to accelerate deterioration at a high rate and to have a critical impact on mechanical performance of the structure. A new non-destructive test method that enables a rapid and quantitative assessment of RC structures deteriorated by rebar corrosion is highly desirable.
