ABSTRACT
More and more information technology has been implemented into cars over the last years. The HMI for these new applications has to comply with several requirements for automotive HMI. The purpose of the following article is to show what has been done in the field of design rules and methods for automotive HMI in the past and to show the opportunities of a closer cooperation between the designers of automotive and information HMI.
