Electromagnetic radiation: Risk perception among workers of telecommunications companies

In telecommunications industry, technicians and maintenance workers, often have to work close to base stations where EMFs are strongest, becoming necessary to assess the occupational exposure to EMF (Kos et al., 2011). For the measurement of personal exposure to EMF, several methods have been used including: digital simulation, on-site measurements or using dosimeters. The last one increasingly used since it provides continuous data about exposure (Chauvin et al., 2009).
