ABSTRACT
Mechanism of sand dispersion in reservoir is complicated, there are many factors that would influence sand production[2]. Based on the experience formula and field practical experience[3-6], sand production depends on resistivity, sonic move out, porosity, permeability, shale content, water saturation, oil viscosity, oil and gas ratio, mining intensity, production pressure dierential, lithology, rock strength, formation pressure, well hole size, and other parameters. In this way, a specific set of parameters correspond to a specific sand production situation in a specific oil well. Therefore, if we could find the relationship between these parameters and sand production, it could help to predict sand production in future oil field development.
