ABSTRACT

IEEE 802.15.4k, as well as the other IEEE 802.15 standards, is used for Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) with requirements of low data rate and low energy consumption. The standard gives the path to establish a market of LECIM, such as transportation systems, gas or oil products production, and so on [1]. Unlike the IEEE 802.15.4, devices of IEEE 802.15.4k should communicate with PAN coordinator in a wide area and bear a lower signal-noise-ratio (SNR). When the despread factor is 32768, the receiver sensitivity could be up to -141dB and PER is 1%≤ . IEEE 802.15.4k presents two physical layers to support LECIM applications: frequency shift keying (FSK) and direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS). 2.4GHz Industrial Scientific Medical (ISM) band is one specially available frequency band for IEEE 802.15.4k widely used all over the world.
