ABSTRACT

Traditionally, the Storage Area Networks (SANs) need to rely on some specific and expensive hardware and network cards, such as, iSCSI HBA, and Fibre Channel to satisfy IO bandwidth[1]. Besides this, the structure of SANs is traditionally centralized with its key device, the storage array[2]. These days, with the development of compute, storage and network technology, distributed storage area network is widely researched and deployed. This is the trend of storage area network[2]. For example, Hadoop-Distributed File System (HDFS) and Google File System (GFS) are such frameworks which provide efficient, reliable access to data using large clusters of commodity hardware[4]. But distributed storage needs a lot of maintenance and scheduling work because the storage resources are stored on different storage points.
