ABSTRACT

In recent years, the synchronized phasor measurement of power system using PMU has attracted a considerable interest in development of smart power grid [1]. In principle, the second pulse-1PPS can be utilized to synchronize the whole power grid sampling pulses, which can enable the entire power grid and has a unified clock reference point [2]. Thus, the application of PMU makes it possible to directly calculate the relative phase angle in each monitoring node such that the relative phase angles can be real-time synchronization processed. For the sake of reducing computational burden, a number of technologies have been investigated and developed. For example, the fast Fourier transform(FFT)[3] has been well developed using the WN factor in the butterfly operation, where the WN factor follows the property of being symmetric and periodic. The advantage of FFT over their predecessors hinges on the time complex which is reduced to N.log2N, which is much e- cient than that of DFT N 2 [4].
