ABSTRACT
The use of multimedia in e-learning resources can undoubtedly enhance the learning experience, and has specific potential for students who may otherwise face significant obstacles to an equitable and effective learning experience as a direct result of their impairment. At the same time, there is a responsibility placed on e-learning developers and multimedia producers to ensure that the resources they create follow best practice in accessible design, and do not introduce new and unnecessary barriers to learning for disabled students.
