ABSTRACT
PATRAKA: Candy stores figure in two of your performance pieces-the candy store where a white store owner in a black neighborhood falsely accuses you of shoplifting, and the candy store deep in a white neighborhood that you walk into to buy strawberry bubble-gum. It made me think about the way you encase history in childhood events.
