ABSTRACT
A loudspeaker system, sometimes of rather large size (although there are also some rather small models that can work surprisingly well), that is dedicated to reproducing only lowbass signals. A subwoofer can be
integrated with an array of smaller satellite speakers, and the result will be large-speaker sound from a small package of speakers that are not visually intrusive. Some subwoofers are able to go deeper and cleaner into the low bass than all but the largest and most expensive full-range systems.
