ABSTRACT
This response to Ambush’s chapter on Mastrosimone’s Tamer of Horses focuses on his consideration of the teacher in the play from the perspective of a theatre educator. The response complicates the positive “teacher as savior” portrayal by presenting Ty as a selfish and self-serving man rather than an ethical and empathetic educator.
