ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on occupational stress-related literature in Oman. Systematic literature has been collected from the Oman database, Masader, and some other literature was collected from both published and unpublished presentations and newspaper articles. Primary data has also been collected and analyzed. The study identified that there is a moderate level of stress in Oman but simultaneously, Oman has some unique cultural-specific stressors also. Unlike other Gulf countries, Oman is undergoing rapid demographic, educational, and economic transition, yet the impact of religion and culture on society prevails.
