Written sources concerning debts and loans in late medieval Czech towns

This study provides a basic description of the various types of written sources which can be used during the study of the matter of debts and loans. From the territorial aspect, it is limited to the territory of Bohemia, this means that towns in Moravia and Silesia are not examined. Eger is also excluded because the Eger region was not a direct part of Bohemia during the Late Medieval Period. It was considered an independent region, attached to other territories, and controlled by Bohemian monarchs. The administration of the town of Eger, which controlled the region, is also quite different.
