False Relations is a collection of short stories whose time span goes back to Biblical times, passing through the Renaissance and returning to the present, and whose settings move across the globe with Italy, Israel or Spain as some of the sites where these intricate stories take place. The Story of Esther and Vashti". In addition to this, some of the stories are set within an eternal dimension "False Relations" and "The Story of Esther and Vashti" due to the creation of first-person narrators that tell their stories by resorting to the historical present tense. The deconstruction of romantic love appears in several stories, such as "The Story of Queen and Vashti" and "The Devil in the Cupboard". The stereotype that emerged from this poem claimed for an ideal marriage based on companionship, a marriage in which the woman preserved the peace of the home as a shelter from the tensions of her husband's public life.
