ABSTRACT
This chapter describes an online teaching certification and master’s program that takes nine months to complete. Graduates of the program are certified to teach in two jurisdictions in the U.S. Candidates are drawn from different countries. The program is modularized and cohort-based, with students identifying their own placements and internships that complement the online coursework. There is an ongoing research effort that seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of this model and its findings will be highlighted in this chapter.
