ABSTRACT

Very often, the writing of a doctoral dissertation does not fit well the academic duty of having to come to an end. The film sessions organized by the OPSC from January to July of 2012, and by the FW from the spring of 2012 to the fall of 2014, sought to produce collective knowledge within several social centres and public institutions of Poble Sec. The chapter outlines a possible approach to transfilmic affects, so-called because they crossed the assemblages of the two case studies during, around and beyond the film projections. It discusses the reactions of spectators and disregarded that passionate envelope, as well as the climate that brought to Poble Sec a collective desire for learning and assembling.
