ABSTRACT
Does implicit bias really exist? How much “real-world” behavior does it actually explain? Is the empirical evidence as clear-cut and decisive as many social psychologists and philosophers have suggested? Is implicit bias research a distraction from more serious problems related to structural injustice or explicit bigotry? Chapter 3 raises and responds to these and other prominent criticisms of implicit bias.
