This ad associates the brand with the upper class in a tongue-in-cheek way. The commercial is lled with icons of the economically wealthyluxury cars, full-time servants, expensive suits, and a demographic association of the economically privileged with a particular gender and age-all connected to Grey Poupon. These icons are presented as desirable and elite. The ad is striking, too, for its explicitness: We see these icons, but both narration and on-screen graphics solidify the message that Grey Poupon = upper-class status and pleasure.
