ABSTRACT

There are manifold parameters that have been identified to provide relevant information for describing or analysing sports related phenomena. Reaction forces, kinematic and electromyographic quantities play an important role in biomechanics research, position data of players (and ball) enable the assessment of the tactical behaviour in game sports, heart rate, pulmonary parameters and oxygen saturation of blood are investigated in exercise physiology, skin resistance and electroencephalographic parameters are utilized in psychophysiological research. Individual values or time histories of these parameters have therefore to be acquired and further processed.
