ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses major international radio frequency radiation (RFR) safety standards and guidelines. It examines dosimetrical investigations, including computational and experimental investigations, which can be used to characterize RFR fields. The chapter describes various exposure assessments in different settings have been summarized. Field management as an ultimate demand of the use. The development of safety standards is a complex process. Typically, it starts with a comprehensive review of the pertinent scientific literature to identify potential hazardous effects and their thresholds. Various approaches have been used to assess the exposure to RFR sources based on measurements and simulation techniques. Harmonization, used in the current context, is the process of reducing the large discrepancies in radio frequency safety standards that are in effect throughout the world. Scientific research is a powerful tool that fills gaps in knowledge, facilitates identifying problems, and allows for a better assessment of risk.
