ABSTRACT

Data analysis occupies chapter 8 and is essentially concerned with analysis of cross-sectional or static data. There again it gives only broad indications about types of analysis to be done and devotes a section to inductive inferencing. Details of multivariate data analysis have been postponed to the next chapter. Methods of parameter estimation and for analysis of survey data following different sampling designs and of experimental data obtained by following different designs have been just outlined in the context of some illustrative data analysis exercises that are likely to arise in some research or other. The focus is on situations or tasks involving data analysis and not on methods or techniques of analysis per se.
