ABSTRACT

In this chapter, our objective is to understand the behavior of the solutions to https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> 2 × 2 https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003153757/8dd02ec3-2a7d-4f0c-8e17-221309973715/content/math06_1.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> systems of ordinary differential equations. In particular, we consider only those systems of ODEs for which global solutions exist and ask questions like: Is the solution bounded? Does the limit of the solution as https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> t → ∞ https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003153757/8dd02ec3-2a7d-4f0c-8e17-221309973715/content/math06_2.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> exist? If it exists, then what is it? Is the solution periodic? and so on.
