ABSTRACT

The protein lipase produced by the recombinant bacterium was estimated as per Lowry's method. Lipase activity is measured in the purified protein using the titrimetric method. The activity of the purified KBS-plip1 recombinant protein was determined using the titrimetric method. The sequence-based metagenomic approach is a powerful tool to explore the microbial diversity present in soil. The homology modelling is performed using sequence alignment of amino acid sequence against Protein Data Bank (PDB) by BLAST algorithm. The homology modelling was done using the sequence alignment of the amino acid sequence of KBS-plip1 against the protein sequence data bank. The stereochemical quality is evaluated using Ramachandran plots obtained from the RAMPAGE server. The Ramachandran plot was divided into three regions: Favoured, allowed, and outlier. The Ramachandran plot for KBS-plip1 predicted protein structure in the region of possible angle formations.
