ABSTRACT
I SPENT TWENTY YEARS working in various aspects ofmedical research. I was trained in statistics and contributed tomany reports and scientific journal articles. One way or another, my colleagues and I were aiming to make the world a better place. To do that, we first had to get our messages across to busy readers. We needed them to remember and act on our findings.
