ABSTRACT
Disclosure: Capers Jones, the author of this report, worked with two of the creators of the CMMI: Watts Humphrey and Dr. Bill Curtis. Watts and the author were colleagues at IBM. Dr. Curtis worked in the same department as the author at the ITT Programming Technology Center in Stratford, CT. The author also had a contract from the U.S. Air Force to examine the benefits of ascending from Level 1 to Level 5 of the CMMI.
