Executive summary: Microsoft is the world’s largest software company and has thousands of developers. The Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) is a set of practices recommended and endorsed by Microsoft. The set combines a meta-model with a collection of sub-processes and tool suites. The Microsoft approach claims to be methodology neutral and can be used with Agile, waterfall, rational unified process (RUP), or other methodologies.
