ABSTRACT
Each industrial sector has a set of terms and slang that are used uniquely by those working within the particular industry. Construction is no different since it has its own vocabulary and slang words that are understood by those affiliated and working with or around the industry. In this chapter every term used in construction could not be listed, so a selection of some of the most common terms in use have been listed nor could every slang word used in construction be included either. There are even dictionaries of construction terms that list at least 16,000 different words used by the construction industry.
