ABSTRACT
H1 – strain hardened only H2 – strain hardened and partially annealed H3 – strain hardened and stabilized by low
temperature treatment. A second digit is used to indicate tempers between O (annealed) and 8 (full hard, final degree of strain hardening, although 9 is used for extra-hard tempers). A third digit indicates variations from these tempers.
