ABSTRACT
A 3-month-old baby boy is referred by his pediatrician for evaluation of a right undescended testicle. The infant was born at term and has no other medical problems. An empty right scrotum and normal left testicle were noted at birth. The pediatrician is unsure whether he could palpate a testicle in the right inguinal canal.
