ABSTRACT
The technology of mistake proofing, known as poka-yoke in Japan, where the term was coined, is very closely associated with lean manufacturing because of its great ability to enhance the improvement efforts of frontline teams in simple and effective ways. Improvement at the frontline is a quintessential lean value.
