ABSTRACT

The conflicting implementation results of healthcare IT systems emphasizes the importance of further study about the change of work system during the implementation process, especially for nursing IT systems which are less studied. This study investigates the inpatient nursing job as one soeiotechnical model to help understanding important individual and organizational factors that affect healthcare IT diffusion and continuance. One reciprocal relationship between nursing work

system and IT diffusion will be proposed to demonstrate the potential connections and the process of confirmation when nurses are facing the implementation process. Initial data collection and analysis will be reported to facilitate any future works.
