ABSTRACT
The ship analyzed in the present study is a doublehull oil tanker with centre line plane bulkhead. The main particulars of the tanker are presented in Table 1. Deck and bottom areas of the ship are produced of higher tensile steel AH32, while the region around neutral axis is made of mild steel ST235. In addition, the whole centre line bulkhead is made of higher tensile steel AH32 due to shear stress requirements.
