ABSTRACT
Primary maritime components of the type-A shall comply with the requirements for the safety of maritime units, including prevention of environment pollution. Design, manufacture, assembly, testing and operation of these components are based upon the so-called statutory requirements. These are the requirements that the flag states impose on the maritime units flying their flag and are commonly based upon the conventions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), wellknown SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Lines, ColReg and similar conventions.
