ABSTRACT
So far, we have focused on case studies of experimental mathematics in action. In this chapter, we will examine in more detail some of the underlying computational techniques that are used in this type of research. We will also mention a number of widely available tools for implementing these techniques, either commercially or freely via the Internet.
