ABSTRACT

These eight are certainly not an all-inclusive list, but they are representative of many of the troubles we encounter when we try to solve environmental problems. Some are problematic because of differences in values and opinions between people. Some are troublesome because of the tools we use to approach environmental issues. Some are ingrained within our history and the way our society has reacted to the growing environmental movement. Let us attempt to shed some light on these eight and see how they inªuence our environmental decision making.
