With a combination of that scientišc knowledge and regular practice, he has achieved an enviable position as a man who can put away little colored balls into designated pockets using a stick and a cue ball. He works his way around a pool table, accurately calling his shots. While others watch with some admiration, the little white ball travels across the green felt, hits a colored ball, which obediently drops into the pocket, while the little white ball travels back toward its master, or sideways, depending upon what kind of English he has used. Top Cat is kind of an amazing guy and is so successful that one would almost think that the principles by which he is operating must be pretty linear in mode, functioning in predictable ways as long as rules are followed and the skill level is maintained.
