ABSTRACT
The term “biosensor” is sometimes used more liberally in the literature to just indicate that a biological reaction is involved, which is not in accordance with the IUPAC suggestions brie©y outlined earlier. There is also no strict classi‘cation of biosensors. Usually, categories are distinguished according to the modi‘er, that, the biological component present in the receptor of the sensor.
