Cosmology is the study of the universe in its totality, and has fascinated mankind for thousands of years from various points of view including science, philosophy, and religion. In recent times, science has come to play a more central role in our understanding of the universe through theoretical and technological developments. Over the past decades, we have witnessed an epoch of tremendous discoveries in cosmology.
